Ivanti Neurons for DEX
Track, measure and optimize your employees’ digital experience to improve productivity, security and employee retention.
Agrex Brazil is a leading agribusiness company operating across the agricultural value chain. From crop production and input distribution to credit and grain exports, the company plays a vital role in Brazil’s farming ecosystem.
Agrex faced growing challenges in managing a wide range of devices across their expanding operations. Using multiple tools for inventory and monitoring, the Agrex IT team struggled with limited visibility over hardware and software, inconsistent patching and manual processes. This increased cyber risks and strained IT resources while also disrupting the work of employees as updates or fixes were applied.
Working with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager was becoming complex for Agrex, and the company required support from an external service to manage it. The Microsoft-only tool also failed to cover the company's full technology portfolio, forcing IT to adopt a reactive approach to third-party software and hardware management.
Identifying vulnerabilities, testing and applying fixes took at least a week, putting a significant burden on the IT team and slowing down the business. To avoid this, Agrex wanted a unified solution that could provide visibility and control across Microsoft solutions and third-party software like Adobe, Java and others.
Agrex researched a range of vendors and chose Ivanti due to its size and global reputation, plus the level of support provided by its Brazilian team. Rather than simply presenting the solution, Ivanti demonstrated the benefits live via a proof of concept.
Based on the proof of concept, Agrex was able to identify additional opportunities beyond their initial focus on patch management. The team decided to expand on those core capabilities with Neurons for DEX (to deliver predictive insights and real-time app inventory), Neurons for Spend Intelligence (for better software contract governance), Neurons for Edge Intelligence (to geo-locate assets) and Neurons for Healing (for real-time monitoring and resolution).
With Ivanti, Agrex Brazil has transitioned from a fragmented, reactive IT environment to a proactive, insight-driven operation.
Implementing Ivanti solutions gave Agrex real-time visibility into their entire device estate so the IT team can maintain a fully updated inventory of both hardware and software. They also have predictive insights into hardware health and user experience that allow the IT team to anticipate issues rather than respond after disruptions occur.
Armed with these indicators, Agrex can create targeted action plans and more accurate IT budgets, driving continuous improvement across their technology environment and preventing the downtime previously experienced by employees.
Agrex now uses Ivanti’s automation capabilities to empower employees to manage simple IT tasks. For example, when a Windows update requires a reboot, users receive a simple prompt to approve the update and restart their machines when convenient, reducing disruption while maintaining security.
Previously, Agrex could apply just two or three patches per machine each month, a process that was slow and manually intensive. With Ivanti, they can deliver more than twenty patches per device monthly, something that would have been impossible without automation.
This has dramatically strengthened endpoint security, improved compliance and freed up IT resources to focus on strategic projects. This includes additional automation initiatives that will help the business meet specific auditing criteria. Spend Intelligence has also given Agrex full visibility over their software assets, helping eliminate unused licenses, reduce costs and better plan future investments.
For Agrex, Ivanti’s agility, speed and reliability have made a lasting impression. In contrast to tools the team had used previously, Ivanti allows IT actions like pushing updates or running automation to happen immediately rather than waiting for scheduled cycles. Agrex were also impressed by the level of technical support Ivanti provides.
Employees trust the Ivanti solution and consider it a dependable part of their daily experience. Its credibility, speed of delivery and user-friendly integration have helped create not only technical improvements but a cultural shift in how IT is perceived within the company.
With Ivanti as a strategic partner, Agrex is well-positioned to continue scaling operations and driving innovation. The success of the initial deployment has laid a strong foundation, which the company sees as just the beginning.
Agrex plans to expand its use of automation to meet evolving audit and compliance needs and recognizes that Ivanti’s broader ecosystem offers even greater opportunities for efficiency, integration and agility.
Regular updates and new features are helping Agrex continually optimize their IT operations without the need for complex integrations or heavy custom development. This ongoing platform evolution ensures that Agrex’s investment will continue to deliver value for the business, its employees and its IT team well into the future.
