Ivanti Applauds House Passage of the FedRAMP Authorization Act, H.R. 3941

Ivanti Supports the Bipartisan Bill Designed to Streamline the FedRAMP Process and Reduce Redundancies in Federal Cloud Migration while Supporting IT Modernization and Cost-Efficiency

SALT LAKE CITY — 6. Februar 2020 —

Ivanti, the company that unifies IT to better manage and secure the digital workplace, today applauded the U.S. House of Representatives for passage of H.R. 3941, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Authorization Act. By enacting provisions which will streamline FedRAMP processes, H.R. 3941 will help to cut costs, improve efficiency and better facilitate the modernization of federal IT systems.

The bipartisan FedRAMP reform legislation was introduced by Congressman Gerry Connolly, Chairman of the Government Operations subcommittee, and Congressman Mark Meadows, Ranking Member of the Government Operations subcommittee. The bill will codify FedRAMP, address agency compliance issues, provide funding for the FedRAMP Project Management Office (PMO) and Joint Authorization Board (JAB), and establish new metrics for proper implementation.

“As an organization committed to unifying IT and security operations, Ivanti is a supporter of H.R. 3941 and its focus on simplifying cloud adoption for federal agencies while enforcing security and compliance standards,” said Daniel Wilbricht, vice president - Americas, public sector, Ivanti. “The new legislation will help drive more rapid IT modernization by simplifying processes for selecting and migrating to cloud-based systems. In particular, the bill’s provision to provide better uniformity and streamline the agency authorization process will help make valuable solutions such as Ivanti® Service Manager available to federal customers more quickly. We thank Congressmen Connolly and Meadows for their leadership and are hopeful the Senate will take up this issue in the near future.”

In December 2019, Ivanti announced that Ivanti® Service Manager achieved FedRAMP Authorized designation. Ivanti Service Manager automates help desk, service desk, and service management workflows to eliminate costly manual processes while making the environment more efficient, compliant and secure. Built on the same cloud platform, Ivanti Asset Manager integrates with Ivanti Service Manager to efficiently manage IT assets across their lifecycle, optimizing investments and reducing downtime.
