UEM is About More Than Personalization
*This post originally appeared on the AppSense blog prior to the rebrand in January 2017, when AppSense, LANDESK, Shavlik, Wavelink, and HEAT Software merged under the new name Ivanti.
Most customers find their way AppSense because they are trying to give their users the ability to move from point A to point B easily. Sometimes it’s a move from physical to virtual. Sometimes it’s an ongoing need to roam between different Remote Desktop Session Hosts. Sometimes it’s a PC refresh or OS migration project.
In any of these cases, giving users a fully personalized and responsive desktop experience is critical, and we do it better than anyone else.
But personalization is just part of the challenge that roaming users face. Watch this short video to see what I mean:
A personalized, responsive desktop is only useful to people if they have instant access to the work files they need to productive. Plus, accounting for and migrating user files is often a major reason that strategic desktop projects stall.
We were the first company to bring desktop and user data management capabilities together with the launch of DesktopNow Plus last year. It’s quickly become one of our most popular product bundles as more and more customers seek an approach that allows 100 percent of the user environment to follow users wherever they go.
Today, we announced the next major step in this vision with even deeper integration between our DataNow and Environment Manager products. In the coming days and weeks, we’ll give you a closer look at what’s new in both products and show you real-world examples of the innovation we’re bringing to user environment management.
