Using Microsoft AutoPilot and Intune with Ivanti Workspace Manager

December 07, 2017

Microsoft’s new cloud-based solution, AutoPilot, used in conjunction with Intune, enables Windows 10 devices to be automatically tailored to the organization when first booted, ensuring the operating system is fully upgraded and licensed.

AutoPilot and InTune reduce IT workload, but there is a cost. The AutoPilot/Intune process requires users to be authenticated via AzureAD, not through traditional Active Directory, resulting in managed devices that are not domain-joined. This means common IT management tools, such as Group Policy, typically used for configuring the user workspace, are unavailable.

To alleviate this configuration shortfall, Ivanti User Workspace Manager can be utilized alongside Windows Intune, and AutoPilot to apply desktop configuration policies to managed endpoints at both bootup and user logon.

In this session, we’ll show you how to put AutoPilot, Intune and Ivanti products together to give IT full control of the user experience and workspace, while embracing the new world of AutoPilot and Intune.
