Ivanti CEO Steve Daly Named CEO of the Year at UTC Annual Members Meeting Event

Daly Earns Top Honors for Exceptional Work in Growing Ivanti in 2016 and Commitment to Utah Technology Community

SALT LAKE CITY — 10. Mai 2017 —

In recognition of his exceptional work in elevating Utah’s tech industry and his leadership in advancing one of Utah’s largest IT companies, Ivanti CEO Steve Daly was honored yesterday as Utah Technology Council’s (UTC) 2017 CEO of the Year. The award was presented to Daly by UTC President Richard R. Nelson at the organization's Annual Members Meeting event in Salt Lake City.

“Steve has played a pivotal role in elevating Utah’s profile as an innovative technology hub for years, but his contributions over the past year have been truly remarkable,” Nelson said. “His leadership, dependability and determination exemplify the principles our organization celebrates, and we could not be more excited to honor him and his incredible accomplishments.”

Ivanti is a billion-dollar Utah-based technology company helping IT organizations successfully automate and secure the digital workplace. For more than three decades, Ivanti has helped IT professionals address security threats, manage devices and optimize their user experience. Under Daly’s leadership, the company has acquired nine companies in five years, further extending its leadership in the market.

Ivanti experienced extreme growth in the past year, doubling in both revenue and the number of employees. In 2016, Daly also led the organization through multiple acquisitions, sold LANDESK to renowned private equity firm Clearlake Capital and rebranded the company to Ivanti. Amid all this change, Daly continues to encourage his employees to give back, doing their part to help build Utah’s technology community. For example, Ivanti created coding classes for Utah high school students and recently launched Girls Go Digital classes to further STEM education in the Beehive State. In 2016 and 2017 alone, Ivanti employees spent 9,500 volunteer hours in support of STEM education.

Daly has been a member of UTC for 10 years, and has served on the executive committee and the UTC board. He also co-hosts the CEO forum for the UTC, bringing in speakers whose lectures have helped Utah-based companies grow and evolve in 2016.

“Utah is full of innovative technology leaders, so to be recognized among such a talented group is truly an honor. I am grateful for the opportunity to live and work in Utah’s bustling technology community and be surrounded by brilliant members of the UTC,” Daly said. “At Ivanti, we’ve focused on building a company that benefits the Utah community and nurtures the next generation of tech leaders. Not only am I proud of this award, but I’m proud of the thousands of hours my employees have put into ensuring Utah is a place where innovative ideas can thrive.”
