RES Software, the leading digital workspace technology company, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Al Monserrat as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors. Monserrat’s career spans more than twenty-five years in large enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures within enterprise software, mobility, cloud, networking and business strategy.
Monserrat joins RES after a fifteen year career at Citrix Systems, Inc., where he was part of the executive leadership team that grew the company from hundreds of millions to more than $3B in revenue in 2014. During the past seven years as Citrix’ Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales and Services, Monserrat led the global sales and services organization, growing revenues by almost 90 percent, strengthening customer engagement throughout the organization and designing the integration of several acquisitions. Previously, Monserrat served as Citrix’ Vice President of North American Sales, where in three years he more than doubled revenue and led the transformation of field operations into a multiple product and multiple route-to-market organization with a keen customer focus. RES Software has been a Citrix partner since RES was founded.

In early 2014, RES Software launched the RES IT Store, a first-of-its-kind enterprise platform that enables proactive, secure and automated delivery and return of IT services. With the RES IT Store, IT can better enable today’s agile workforce by predicting many of the services needed by the business and delivering them to users ahead of time. Additionally, IT can offer an easy to use, self-service portal where the business can interact with IT without delay. The RES IT Store is changing IT’s ability to support the business. Many RES customers have reduced service desk calls by more than 40% and implemented fast, efficient and automated employee onboarding and offboarding, while still meeting compliance requirements.
