Earlier this summer, Ivanti was recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE) as a recipient of an SDCE 100 award for 2019. The list highlights 100 great supply chain projects. Pardon the brag, but this is the second year in a row we’ve been recognized for supply chain excellence.

Ivanti Wins Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 Award

First, a little background. SDCE is the executive’s user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, utilizing hard-hitting analysis, viewpoints, and unbiased case studies to steer executives and supply management professionals through the complicated, yet critical world of supply and demand chain enablement to gain a competitive advantage.

So what inspired Ivanti winning the award? It could have been so many things that sealed the deal for us – our industry-leading products, the amazing experience our customers have, or maybe just our good looks. Ok, maybe I’m letting this award get to my head. Ivanti was recognized for teaming with its partner Procensis, which is an industry leader in providing mobility and network design solutions, to enable Dorman Products to move to a next-generation mobile solution that included voice for its distribution center.

Dorman Products, a leading automotive parts supplier, was looking for a warehouse and supply chain solution that would improve accuracy, ease training, and help with management. Enlisting Procensis for help, Dorman Products leveraged Ivanti Velocity, Speakeasy, and Avalanche, all powered by Wavelink, as their warehouse solutions.

Using Ivanti's supply chain solutions including Velocity and Speakeasy, Dorman reduced picking errors by 86%, cut the time to train new employees by 50%, and increased productivity and accuracy for one of their largest customers by 15%. You can learn more about Dorman’s results with Ivanti by viewing the case study here.

The success extended past just quantitative results. Greg Bowen, OpEx engineer at Dorman Products, described the user interface enhancements Velocity delivered, saying, “In the past, you had to use the function keys to navigate through your processes. With Velocity, we were able to take out the fields we don’t use, highlight the fields we do use, make them bold and make them stand out in different colors. They’ve turned all the function keys into buttons. So, they’re navigating, instead of F3 back, they’re hitting the button that says ‘Back.’ For the new user, it just makes sense. It works just like your phone, which is great.”

According to the Ivanti press release, “The SDCE 100 can serve as a map for supply chain executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. These projects show how supply chain solution and service providers help their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for success.”
