Microsoft has just released their March Advanced Notification for the upcoming Patch Tuesday.  They plan to release three bulletins addressing four vulnerabilities.

Security Bulletin Breakdown:

  • 1 bulletin is rated Critical
  • 2 bulletins are rated Important
  • All 3 bulletins address Remote Code Execution vulnerabilities

Affected Software:

  • All supported operating systems including recently released Windows 7 / 2008 R2 Service Pack 1
  • Microsoft Groove 2007

This upcoming Patch Tuesday marks a 'light' release month for Microsoft.  You should take the time this month with the light load of security bulletins to address a few non-Microsoft critical security bulletins.

Apple released a new version of Apple iTunes yesterday with Apple iTunes 10.2.  This release fixes a whopping 57 vulnerabilities.  The security fixes can be found here.

Earlier this week, Mozilla released new versions of Firefox, Thunderbird and SeaMonkey.  In addition, yet another Google Chrome security update was released.  I covered the details earlier this week in this blog posting.

We will be covering everything from the March 2011 Patch Tuesday during our monthly webinar next Wednesday, March 9th.  If you would like to attend, you can sign up here.
