After a spirited competition driven by weekly challenges shared on the Ivanti’s Simpplr-based intranet, three Ivanti employees were crowned Vision Pitch Champions:

Elja van de Stolpe, growth marketing manager.

Mohsin Bhanwadia, principal enterprise account director.

Jill Rabach, senior partner sales director

Fun competition demonstrates shared purpose

Ivanti’s winning campaign got its start from feedback gleaned through the 2023 annual employee engagement survey. Ivantians asked for a better understanding of their role in bringing Ivanti’s market vision to life – and that quickly turned into the companywide Ivanti Vision Competition.

Ivanti’s leadership team quickly embraced the competition, first by communicating Ivanti’s vision story to employees, then by taking part in the competition alongside their employees. To help Ivantians succeed in the competition, the intranet competition page was stocked with information and resources that included executive leaders’ video pitches, a study guide and Ivanti’s official vision PowerPoint deck.

The company then divided into five teams that undertook weekly team challenges to encourage friendly competition. They updated the team leaderboard on the Ivanti Everywhere site at the end of each day to motivate employee participation. The weekly team challenges included a scavenger hunt, a game of VisionLib, crossword puzzles and a knowledge quiz.

We recorded a participation rate of 41% – a stark contrast to our typical internal campaign engagement rate of around 18%.

In Q4 alone, Ivanti's Vision Intranet site received over 4,500 views and had an increase in usage by 14%.

Among 108 sites on Ivanti’s intranet, the Vision Competition site was the second most visited.

Our winners speak

Each of the three competition winners saw the challenge as a way to sharpen their ability to connect with Ivanti customers and address their unique needs.

“I jumped into the competition with two clear goals, firstly to dive headfirst into understanding Ivanti’s products and vision,” said van de Stolpe. “It was crucial to me to grab the essence of what Ivanti stood for. Secondly, I saw this as an opportunity to step out of my comfort zone ... and showcase my enthusiasm in an active and engaging way.”

Meanwhile, Bhanwadia “decided to be part of the Ivanti Vision Challenge because in my previous role I was just managing one particular product line of RBVM solutions, and this was a perfect platform to learn more about Ivanti.”

And for Rabach, the competition was a means to “write a pitch that was really relevant and would resonate with my customers. It helped me adapt to what our customers want and what our company’s role in the market is (and create) a message that will ring true and catch the attention of my partners so that they can communicate it to their customers.”

Hear the winners in their own words.

My mother was a high-powered marketing professional, and that meant I was immersed in the idea that women’s decisions, ideas and talent mattered. I recognize the value of that upbringing and I don’t take it for granted.

Now, I, too, am a senior marketing executive – proof, to me, that witnessing women doing great things inspires others to aim higher. I want to use my platform to encourage other women to expand their idea of what’s possible. I’m certainly committed to instilling this in my own three daughters. Whatever path they choose, the point is that they will be empowered to choose it – and I’ll cheer them on every step of the way.

While I work in a traditionally male-dominated field, I’m thrilled to say that I’m surrounded by people who empower and elevate women every day. My colleagues, regardless of gender, share a belief that when women succeed, we all succeed.

I’m lucky to be in such a supportive space. I know that this isn’t the case everywhere and there are still inequities between women and men in professional spaces – especially in STEM-related fields. I truly believe that visibility matters. Seeing women succeed matters. Celebrating women matters.

This International Women’s Day, I’m here to celebrate. I want to celebrate the women who work with me in the executive leadership team who encourage and inspire me constantly. I want to celebrate every woman at Ivanti who pour their time, talent and energy into this amazing company. I want to applaud our CEO Jeff Abbott and the other men of Ivanti, who truly celebrate and value the contributions of their women colleagues.

I opened this blog post by talking about my mother, who has had an indelible impact on me. I’m not the only one who is where I am today because of a woman who went before her and laid a path of inspiration and encouragement.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, and as part of Ivanti’s commitment to embracing equity, several of my colleagues on the executive leadership team – both men and women – told us a little about a woman who had an impact on them. I’m honored to share those stories here.

Kristen Kamp, SVP, Global HR

An influential woman who had an impact on my life from the moment that I met her was my grandmother-in-law Muriel Weingrow. She was as confident, intelligent and worldly as she was graceful, thoughtful and caring. Born in the 1920s, she was a bold and strong woman, ahead of her time. From her I learned that the best way to be is unapologetically who you are.

Al Arun, Chief Customer Officer

One of my earliest role models was my grandmother – Valliammai – who was the CEO of my family. My grandpa was a very successful businessman in India, but my grandmother was the person who everything revolved around. She was one of the first women in India to drive a car by herself and was referred to as the Car Driving Valliammai.

She taught me to understand how to bring people together, be decisive when needed and to be collaborative in order to win people’s support.

She truly cared for the people around her. She commanded a lot of respect from some of the most powerful people in India just based on her ability to plan, coordinate and execute on any activity / event. I attribute every trait that I have built up over the years using her as a role model.

Michelle Hodges, SVP, Global Channels & Alliances

While in graduate school, I interned for two summers in France for a woman, Marie-Josephe D'Argent. At that point in her career, she was a Business & Strategy consultant for large CPG, Manufacturing, Utilities and PubSec companies in France. Earlier in life, she had an amazing career from the late 70s-90s in Marketing & Sales within the Oil & Gas Industry; and had traveled all over the world including the Middle East and Africa.

I learned from her the hard lessons of self-reliance, authenticity, open-mindedness, investing in your job with passion and balancing work and motherhood. I now consider her family and she has been a role model, mentor and huge supporter for my entire career.

Helen Masters, EVP International Sales

There are so many women who made an impact on my life and career. Family members, former colleagues and women in technology who blazed the path before me. My current peers at Ivanti and in the industry inspire me every day.

I am inspired to see my daughter, Alex Masters, grow into a strong leader in her own right and is now also mentoring other young women joining the IT industry. I am proud to see that our values and ethics continue on through generations and will help drive diversity for many years to come.

In order to create and ignite more innovative ideas, we need to continue to foster inclusivity in the tech industry – whether that’s encouraging STEM education for girls or other non-traditional groups. All members of the technology community hold a collective responsibility for making this a reality.

Brooke Johnson, SVP, Chief Legal Officer

One woman who has made a tremendous impact on my life is my best friend, Beth Ranschau. Beth and I met in law school and quickly bonded over academics and our love of shoes. After we graduated and started at law firms, Beth became my career counselor, personal advocate and sometimes therapist.

Beth is an exceptional attorney and advocate for her clients while making time for her family and friends. She is smart, driven, self-aware, a fashion icon and able to effectively prioritize what is most important in her day, every day.

She has taught me that it’s okay to occasionally not say that I can have it all, but do my best at what I decide to take on.

Jeff Abbott, CEO

For me, my mom – Irene – is one of my heroes. She raised the four of us, my three sisters and me, to be strong, independent, hardworking and honest. In our early years my dad, who worked for General Motors, often worked 2nd or 3rd shift so we didn’t see him very much. Mom was a warrior. She herself was one of nine kids – and my Irish grandmother taught my mom and all of her children the power of family. That’s my mom’s superpower: “In all that you do, don’t forget the importance of family.” I haven’t and will never forget that, Mom!

Happy International Women’s Day to all of you. Let’s celebrate each other!

The report reveals interesting insights into employee preferences in the Everywhere Workplace. We surveyed over 6,100 office workers and IT professionals in the US, UK, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Australia and worked with leading “future of work” experts to uncover employee sentiments related to the future of work.

The survey provided a massive volume of thoughtful, candid responses:

71% of employees would choose to work from anywhere over being promoted

And 64% of employees would even take a pay cut to be able to work from anywhere

Only 13% of employees would like to permanently return to the office full-time.

The monumental success we are seeing with this report is all due to Ivanti employees continuously working passionately together always championing our customers. We are still receiving outstanding coverage and global reach, while also creating momentum internally as well. Over the month of March, we asked Ivanti employees to participate in The Everywhere Workplace Challenge with activities to complement the Everywhere Workplace Report...and WOW! The participation was amazing. I am thrilled to recognize and announce the winners of the challenge.

Everywhere Workplace internal contest

To celebrate the report, we asked our employees to share photos of their workplace and their interests in the report. After weeks of friendly competition, we finally have our Everywhere Workplace Challenge winners! It was a close race but only a few came out on top. Drumroll please...

The department winners

A big congratulations to the Sales, Engineering, and Customer & Employee Experience teams. We paired departments who might not usually work day-to-day with each other. This team is the epitome of teamwork!

Individual winners

1st Place: Graham Plumb, Customer Experience Advocate

We asked Graham how he felt taking home first place: “I entered the Everywhere Workplace Challenge with my Ivanti Momentum User Group (IMUG) hat fully on! I have firmly believed, for a long time, that work can be effective, not to mention productive in a relaxed environment, exactly the type our team believe in creating. That means whether being with people in an office, sat in my spare bedroom with the dogs or overlooking Pike’s Peak from a veranda in Colorado!

So, I didn’t really see the challenge as a challenge at all – it was great to see what everyone is thinking and, even more, to get a glimpse into the imaginative world of my colleagues – those I know and those I am yet to meet. Anyone reading this will already know that I’m a dog lover, so seeing the pictures in week two made my March!

What I found particularly interesting were the facts and figures in the Everywhere Workplace Report. That folk would rather work “from anywhere” than have a promotion was a revelation and, of course, the flexibility of a hybrid solution, which is very close to my heart with our user group meetings starting to be held that way! That means no one has to miss out on the IMUG experience.”

2nd Place: Corinna Fulton, Senior Director, Product Marketing EXM

“I found the Everywhere Workplace report to be a comprehensive tour de force detailing how our workplace has changed forever. There are so many fantastic stats and insightful nuggets that we’ll be able to pull into Ivanti’s messaging and content. For a product marketer, it’s GOLD. I also really enjoyed the Everywhere Workplace Challenge that was used to promote the report internally at Ivanti. I love seeing everyone’s Everywhere Workplaces!” - Corinna Fulton

3rd Place: Allie Brandon, HR Business Partner, & Oindrila Mukhopadhyay, HR Business Partner

"Throughout my Everywhere Workplace Challenge I had engagement front of mind. Consistently being able to connect with my colleagues globally made this challenge worthwhile, knowing we are all over the globe and working/doing common things. It truly helps to know we are working toward the same end goals!" - Allie Brandon

Bragging rights: photo contest winners

1st Place: Corinna Fulton, Senior Director, Product Marketing EXM

2nd Place: Jeff Reilly, Field CTO

3rd Place: Leslie Alore, Vice President, Growth Marketing

The participation in the challenges was phenomenal. Thank you to all of our employees and teams who have helped make this a huge success. So, where do we go from here? We’ll continue to evolve with the Everywhere Workplace so our employees and customers can continue to thrive.

<atom:author><atom:name>Melissa Puls</atom:name><atom:uri>https://www.ivanti.com/blog/authors/melissa-puls</atom:uri></atom:author>

The Word is Out: Ivanti’s Brand Launch Nets a Whopping Eleven MUSE Creative Awards

What’s better than receiving a MUSE Creative Award for our brand strategy and creative work?

Receiving eleven of them.

That’s right: eleven. That number’s pretty hard to wrap our heads around, and we’re glad we don’t have to pose for a picture like the multiple Grammy winners do, holding all of them at once, because we’re pretty sure we couldn’t wrap our arms around them, either.

The awards include:

Integrated Marketing: Best Company Branding

Corporate Identity: Best Corporate Identity

Video: Best Corporate

Integrated Marketing: Best Internal Campaign

Corporate Identity: Best Promotions

…and that’s not even half of them.

We’re thrilled, but if we said we were shocked it would do a disservice to the incredible work of all the people who contributed to these successes. They earned it. The past year has been tumultuous for the entire world, and we added additional layers of complication with multiple acquisitions and a huge number of new team members. I’m in awe at how quickly the teams aligned under a common purpose: make the Everywhere Workplace possible.

Everyone had a sense of urgency since the stakes are so high in the cybersecurity world right now. The business world scrambled with the abrupt shift to working from home, and we felt a responsibility to help companies smooth out the permanent shift to the Everywhere Workplace. In six short months, Ivanti transformed from a service management company to a billion-dollar security company – one that, at first, few had heard of despite our new size. We knew we had the tools and resources to make the Everywhere Workplace possible, but all the capabilities in the world don’t mean much if no one knows about them.

That’s where our marketing teams came in — and not just them; this was a truly company-wide effort that included teams across the enterprise and teams from the companies we acquired along the way, all working together to define an authentic common purpose. We embraced a total brand overhaul and a bold new look, feel and voice that was as at once strong and approachable; clear and intelligent; fun and serious about results. Our mission: create a brand that customers love to work with, and employees love to work for.

Both internally and externally, our teams spread the word (and the images, and the video) with vibrancy and panache. Everything got an upgrade – web, social media, video, employee engagement campaigns – and it paid off. A quick look at initial numbers from the new brand launch:

20.3 million impressions

81,000 site visits

875 employees actively participating in an employee engagement brand battle

And of course, that most recent number: eleven Muse Creative Awards.

The awards represent an extraordinary effort from our team, but it’s bigger than that: it means we’ve reached so many people in our mission to make the Everywhere Workplace possible. Our autonomous platform finds and protects every device so businesses don’t have to. Here’s how:

Security. We help team members securely access company resources remotely from any location in the world using any web-enabled device including laptops, phones, home PCs, smartphones or tablets.

Unified Endpoint Management. Better known as UEM, this means we make it simple to discover and keep track of all the endpoints (devices) in your entire enterprise-wide network – all from a single console.

Enterprise Service Management. This is a framework to make things more efficient and productive for everyone in your enterprise. We’re the only ESM vendor to offer end-to-end service management from every endpoint to the IoT edge.

Neurons. Power and protect your teams from cloud to edge with the hyperautomation platform for the Everywhere Workplace. Delivering the power of healing has never been so simple.

Our new brand is as bold as it is simple. It all comes down to this: Wherever teams work, whatever they work on, Ivanti delivers the peace of mind teams need to perform.

Ivanti is at the forefront of cyber solutions.

And we’re at the heart of what helps people work better.

We were proud of this team’s incredible efforts before the awards, and we didn’t need the awards to know how impactful the brand launch has been. That said, we’re beyond honored to receive formal recognition – especially from such a prestigious source.

It’s safe to say the word is out.

Ivanti’s Summer of Security was an initiative we kicked off in the market to make the Ivanti brand synonymous with security. You’ve all seen the headlines – cybersecurity is still a daily topic on the news, with more than 90% of all healthcare organizations reporting at least one security breach in the last three years, Google has registered 2,145,013 phishing sites as of January 17, 2021, projections that cybercrime will cost the world $10.5 trillion annually by 2025 – and that’s just the beginning. And it’s time to make sure everyone knows that Ivanti is here to secure the Everywhere Workplace. Enter the Summer of Security.

We unofficially kicked off our Summer of Security with the news of our new Vice President and Chief Security Officer, Daniel Spicer. With Daniel’s hire, we have demonstrated Ivanti’s commitment to customer security, but also our implementation of best practices as a company moving forward – raising the bar for security as threat actors continue to grow in sophistication. Adding Daniel to team Ivanti has been a phenomenal asset, and he’s already making tremendous impact.

Ivanti’s Summer of Security Challenge

So, how did we engage Ivanti employees in our Summer of Security 2021? We asked Team Ivanti worldwide to showcase their cybersecurity knowledge and skills by participating in weekly challenges. And the participation was phenomenal!

We watched and we listened as the thunder of employee Haikus, Everywhere Workplace photos, even artwork submissions came rolling in. We tallied up points each week throughout the summer, and at the completion of the weekly challenges, our top two finalists faced off in Ivanti’s Battle of the Summer of Security Challenge!

The Battle of the Summer of Security Challenge was a head-to-head trivia battle hosted by our own Director of Social Media Marketing Stephanie Carls. Members of Ivanti’s leadership team (including myself!) asked each contestant various summer and security-based trivia questions, celebrity-Jeopardy style!

Now I’m proud to present Ivanti’s 2021 Summer of Security Challenge Champion: Jennifer Smith! Jenn defeated our Challenge Runner-Up, Sales Development Representative Boyd Richardson after a heated battle that went down to one final, tie-breaking round! Each of our finalists will receive Summer of Security trophies, and Jenn our Summer of Security Champion wins $500 Motivosity dollars! I want to congratulate Jenn and Boyd once again for their terrific performances, and thank everyone who participated in Ivanti’s 2021 Summer of Security Challenge.

Now let’s learn more about Customer Marketing Associate Jenn, Ivanti’s 2021 Summer of Security Champion!

Employee Center Stage Interview with Jennifer Smith

Congratulations on winning Ivanti’s Summer of Security Challenge, Jenn! Tell us about yourself.

Jenn: I'm married to my husband Sean for 8 years now and a proud mom of 2 children! Samantha is 7 and Connor, my son is 4.5. We live in Mount Laurel, NJ and just adopted (on Sunday!) a sweet kitten, she's 11 weeks old and her name is Rosie Smith 🙂. We've spent a lot of time at the beach this summer where my mom has a beach house located in Brigantine, NJ. I've been priding myself on attending BURN bootcamp 5 days a week for their 6:30 a.m. camp. I LOVE the energy and sense of community I've found there. The early morning exercise keeps me balanced, focused and ready to tackle each day!

How did you join Ivanti?

Jenn: I was following a handful of past Iron Mountain colleagues on LinkedIn. All of them sharing about "Ivanti" and all the awesome things going on. They inspired me to check out the open roles and apply! After being home with my kids for some time, this has been such a WONDERFUL transition back to work. I am so happy to be here. I also feel so fortunate to have been reunited with many people that were like family to me at our previous company.

What do you do at Ivanti?

Jenn: I've joined the Customer Experience Marketing team, reporting to Denise Champion. We are handling customer related communications to ensure a positive Ivanti experience. My first day was July 6, 2021.

What has your experience been like so far as an employee at Ivanti?

Jenn: AMAZING! The latest three-day on-boarding sessions were awesome.

What drove your participation in the Summer of Security Challenge?

Jenn: I was so new to Ivanti so I had the time to really anticipate. I looked at the challenge as an opportunity to learn about the company with zero expectation that I' be the champion. It sounded like a fun way to not only learn but get comfortable making a presence internally and on LinkedIn and Twitter.

What were the benefits of participating in the Summer of Security Challenge?

Jenn: I'd say the biggest benefit was learning about the security space as well as assisting me personally with a valid reason to share how great Ivanti is out to the world. I do feel it provided an avenue for someone very new like myself to meet key people within our organization.

Any words of advice for our next challenge competitors? Any tricks or tools that helped you win?

Jenn: Have fun! Use your creativity and don't be afraid to take a risk!!

Summer may be over, but the fun is not! Fall is fast approaching and so is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, coming this October. Stay tuned for more of the fun from your Everywhere Workplace!

What a week at the Ivanti Solutions Summit 2021!

We had an amazing turnout of 3,728 attendees and over 58% registration attendance rate, far surpassing our goals and industry standards! Amazing work team!

The feedback from the attendees has been great so far!

Here are some comments directly from our customers, prospects, and partners:

“Hello All! Virtual events can be difficult. I found this layout easy to navigate – lots of great resources!”

“Very cool first day. I really enjoyed Rodney Mullen's talk.”

“Excellent conference!”

“That was totally WICKED!”

“Hearing consistent supporting comments from the executive team regarding the value and investment in partners gives us more confidence in our partnership…we are looking forward to seeing the application of these statements.”

Ultimately, none of this would have been possible without the extraordinary hard work and dedication of our cross-functional teams – the Everywhere Workplace demands an everywhere workforce and ours came together from afar to deliver on an amazing event experience.

I appreciate every single Ivanti employee who had a part in making this a success. I would like to call out and celebrate some team members who went above and beyond:

Ida Pennymon – Under Ida's leadership, we smashed our goals for this event, registering 6000+ people in a few short weeks and beating industry standards on attendee rates. Ida came in with a very short timeframe to work with and made magic, continually improving processes along the way.

Saul Andrade – aka. “the man behind the plan” is the core of the Solutions Summit and built this event from the bottom to the great experience we delivered to our audience. He built the structure of the event, managed the registrations and weekly reports, kept us all informed of moving parts and added a new feather to his cap, event emcee! Saul can do it all.

Nneka Alston – thank you Nneka, a core member of the Event Marketing team who came on full-time in May and quickly organized our sponsorship program, worked with the Partner Mktg team, gather our production grid and coordinated our internal programs groups. Nneka wears many hats, but I am most thankful for her calming nature and can-do attitude.

Ashley Bradford, Leigh Lebow and Erik Randles – Partner Summit planning team that organized a full day of sessions and learning opportunity to our valuable partner community. The partner registration total was 300x larger than our goal.

Mike Adams, Crystal Miceli, Teddy Nicoghosian, Jay Bhansali, Loren de la Cruz, Ginny Verhagen – events are only as strong as their content. Lead by Mike and Crystal, the Product Marketing team and individuals listed here put together a powerful lineup of speakers and SME’s that made the ISS 2021 agenda.

Rob Gilcrest – our videos were amazing and that’s all thanks to the leadership and direction from Rob. He managed the entire video production process, which include 50+ pieces of produced video, and ensured that the keynotes, super sessions, commercials, spotlights and breakouts sessions were excellent.

Josh Davis and Devin Hanson – it’s imperative that the visuals for any event are cohesive, on brand and compelling. The Solutions Summit 2021 graphics were eye-catching and powerful, that’s all thanks to the efforts of Josh and Devin from our creative team.

Zane Buckley and Jack Rowley – created the events website, maintained it weekly and managed regular updates.

Stephanie Briggs – thank you for keeping our internal organization in the know and equipped with all of the latest ISS information.

Stephanie Carls, Christine Alexis and Kristen DeArman – the social media efforts for ISS 2021 were tremendous! With more than 1,213,648 organic impressions and 5,793 engagements our social team created graphics, gifs, videos and amazing posts to let the entire world know the Solutions Summit 2021 was a can’t miss event!

Annie Wang – Analyst relations is very important part of our business and normally we would invite analysts to our in-person event to learn about our product, business and future. Annie organized 2 important sessions with analysts where great conversations were had.

Rebecca Duvall, Ellen Gans, Mark Cafiero, Sarah Marshall, Craig Sirois – content writers responsible for all of the wonderful words and pieces of writing associated with the event. Their words really brought the event experience to life.

Lauren Hein, Kendall Yasi, Anne-Marie Poll, Mohammad Mahmoud, Tiffany Shake and June Dean – our great COE team managed the communications and reporting of the event. Translating several pieces of content each week and delivering it to our contacts. They also set up the registration form.

Annie Norgaard – organized the Sales Registration Contest and the very complicated task of managing translations for the event. We offered translations in 5 languages.

Helen Masters, Cyrus Hatfield, John Flavin, Adrian Vernon – Thank you Sales org. Drove over 700+ registration to the Solutions Summit. Motivated the Sales org around the event and encouraged them to invite their contacts to this valuable event. Giving ISS regular promotions during the weekly Ivanti Café calls was extremely helpful in rallying the Sales org.

Julie Swenson, Maria Meyer, Stephanie Santos, Sharon Foster – organized customers to participate as breakout session speakers. Great job selecting Ivanti customers with great use case stories for the event. Also organized the Customer Advocacy section of the program group page.

Becca Chambers for her amazing leadership with the Corporate Marketing Team!

A big thank you to all the Solutions Summit speakers! You rocked the show!

If you missed any of the sessions this week, don’t worry! We got you covered. Each session can be viewed on-demand right here.

Team Ivanti knows what it takes to build and sustain the Everywhere Workplace for our customers and ourselves.

We hope to see you next year, whether in person or virtually at the Ivanti Solutions Summit!

<atom:author><atom:name>Melissa Puls</atom:name><atom:uri>https://www.ivanti.com/blog/authors/melissa-puls</atom:uri></atom:author>

Ivanti Solutions Summit 2021 Day 2: What it Takes to Build the Everywhere Workplace

Another day is in the books at the Ivanti Solutions Summit 2021, and it was amazing! There is so much energy and excitement about the Everywhere Workplace. We have heard from so many people that after more than a year of reactions and adaptation, they are ready for something that is purpose-built for this new business landscape. There is still a lot of work to do, but we are heartened seeing the effects of our efforts and we’re more motivated than ever.

This week at the Solutions Summit, we heard directly from Ivanti’s senior leaders about what it takes to embrace and thrive in the Everywhere Workplace. We are delivering solutions and services that enable our customers to Discover, Manage, Secure and Service the Everywhere Workplace. We know how critical it is for work to be done securely from everywhere, and it’s our mission to make that possible so that ultimately we are creating business value for our customers.

If you missed any of the sessions this week, don’t worry! We have you covered. Each session can be viewed on-demand right here. Here is a quick summary of what happened on day two:

Legendary actress and comedian Catherine O’Hara chatted with Ivanti CEO Jim Schaper about the Everywhere Workplace – and how the pandemic changed the way people looked at one of her characters.

I spoke with Ivanti CIO Keith Lutz about how he is managing the Everywhere Workplace for Ivanti.

Nellson Burns, CIO for Dal Tile, and I talked about how he is securing IT at Dal Tile during the pandemic.

Multiple great breakout sessions shed light on how Ivanti is building the Everywhere Workplace.

The great thing about virtual events is that there is still time to register and attend. That is right, all of the Solutions Summit 2021 content will remain available until July 9. Visit www.ivanti.com/solutions-summit/2021 to learn more, and check out all of the goodness that happened this week!

<atom:author><atom:name>Melissa Puls</atom:name><atom:uri>https://www.ivanti.com/blog/authors/melissa-puls</atom:uri></atom:author>

Ivanti Solutions Summit 2021 Day 1: Building the Everywhere Workplace Together

It was a great first day at the Ivanti Solutions Summit 2021!

As much as we miss seeing people in person, there’s something incredible about watching the Everywhere Workplace come to life right before our eyes as thousands of people from around the world dialed in to experience something together.

The Ivanti Solutions Summit is evidence that where you are shouldn’t have anything to do with what you get to experience. We’ve been working to make the Everywhere Workplace secure, productive, better for business and better for employees. I am so proud of the mission that we have in front of us. When the world slowed down (or in some cases came to a screeching halt!) due to a global pandemic, we pressed on because we know we are providing a critically important service. So many organizations struggled with the rapid shift to decentralize their workforces. If we back off, it gets that much harder for companies to empower their teams, maintain security and help everyone do what needs to be done.

Of course, it’s not just Ivanti making the Everywhere Workplace possible – it’s our whole team plus our partners, customers and industry. And, we are celebrating all of them.

Together, we are making the Everywhere Workplace possible. And it needs to be possible. If you missed the first day of presentations, be sure to check out the replays. Here’s a quick summary of the first day:

Ivanti CEO, Jim Schaper and President, Jeff Abbott, shared their vision for the Everywhere Workplace.

Ivanti Chief Product Officer and President of the Service Management Solutions Group, Nayaki Nayyar shared how Ivanti Neurons is the magic behind making the Everywhere Workplace real for our customers.

Super Sessions and Breakouts focused on how customers can Discover, Manage, Secure and Service the Everywhere Workplace.

Finally, the fireside chat with entrepreneur and acclaimed Street Skater Rodney Mullen is something you don’t want to miss. Rodney shared lessons he learned through skating and how he applies those learnings to real-world business issues.

I hope you can join us for day 2 tomorrow! There is still time to register and attend. Visit www.ivanti.com/solutions-summit/2021 to learn more and sign up! Don't worry if you missed anything from day 1. You can catch the replay of all sessions here!

<atom:author><atom:name>Melissa Puls</atom:name><atom:uri>https://www.ivanti.com/blog/authors/melissa-puls</atom:uri></atom:author>

Employee Center Stage: Allie Brandon, Ivanti’s Brand MVP Winner!

Last month, we re-introduced ourselves as a whole new brand. Traditionally, a brand refresh means new colors, a new logo and a new website, but we no longer work in a traditional world – and we are not a traditional tech brand. Work from home (WFH) has become work from everywhere (WFE) and well before the world’s rapid shift to WFH, Ivanti was planning, strategizing and implementing a work environment for the Everywhere Workplace.

People are at the core of everything we stand for. At Ivanti, we help employees do what they need to do, where and when they need to do it with technology that makes it simple to discover, manage, secure, and service the Everywhere Workplace. At Ivanti, we make the Everywhere Workplace possible.

For us, our new brand isn’t just about a fresh look. It’s about a way of life for our employees and our customers. People are at the core of everything we stand for and everything we do and that’s exactly why Ivanti’s brand launch in April did not stop there. It continues with our employees and customers every day.

The Ivanti Everywhere Workplace Employee MVP

We started with our people first.

We got our employees engaged by asking them to showcase their Everywhere Workplace and participate in daily activities.

We launched an internal Ivanti Brand Battle and the participation was phenomenal!

We watched and we listened as the rolling thunder of employee brand activity came in and we tallied up points every day for an entire week.

The Ivanti Brand MVP of the Brand Battle is Allie Brandon! She completed 26 of the Brand Battle activities and single-handedly earned 780 points for her team.

Employee Center Stage Interview

Tell us about yourself.

Allie: I live in Colorado but was born in England. My dad was in the Airforce so was able to live in several places as a child. I have an amazing supportive husband, 4 kids (3 boys and 1 girl), and my puppy Penny. I’m always looking at each day with positivity and adventure. I’m extremely optimistic and it drives my husband nuts. I have a green thumb and an abundance of plants, inside and out at my house. My absolute favorites are wildflowers. Any chance I can get I head to the beach, all vacations seem to be surrounded by water.

How did you join Ivanti?

Allie: I joined Ivanti through the recent Cherwell Acquisition.

What do you do at Ivanti?

Allie: I support people success in all the work I do. My technical title is HR Specialist but I seem to support all parts of Human Resources regardless of my title.

What drove your participation in Brand Battle?

Allie: A big reason I jumped on participating in the Brand Battle was to learn about the company and meet some of my new colleagues.

What were the benefits of participating in Brand Battle?

Allie: Biggest benefit for me was employee engagement and getting to know my new coworkers across the globe.

In your opinion, what set you apart from others actively participating so that you won the title of MVP?

Allie: I really tried to make the brand battle fun and engaged on social platforms with my coworkers. I took some time each day to tackle all daily activities in the Brand Battle but I just stayed with it during the week.

What has your experience been like so far as an employee at Ivanti?

Allie: So far so good! I am still learning my role and getting to know all the great people at Ivanti. I am excited to build new networks collaborate with my coworkers.

We aren’t stopping with our employees either. We just announced the customer #EverywhereWorkplace Challenge taking place over the entire month of May. Winning prizes consist of a DJI Mavic Air 2, Sonos Indoor Outdoor Speaker Set, Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset, and an Apple iPad Pro 11” 256GB.

Learn about the official rules here.

As you can see, the new Ivanti brand isn’t a one and done event. As the world continues to work from everywhere, we will continue to be here to enable productivity and security. And we might just throw some prizes into the mix as well.

And I say B2B Marketing is Over. Here’s Why.

At the beginning of 2020, most of us in the marketing industry had a pretty solid – and siloed – understanding of B2B and B2C marketing.

B2B is rational.

B2C is about emotions.

B2B is about long-term partnerships and moving along the funnel.

B2C thrives on impulse.

B2B hinges on appealing to a group of stakeholders.

B2C hinges on capturing the imagination and attention of an individual.

The beginning of 2020 was a lifetime ago.

And B2B marketing is ancient history.

The pandemic catalyzed a dramatic marketing shift, and key elements of that shift will be permanent.

Marketing must engage people, not personas.

Pre-pandemic, it was easy to think of a B2B prospect as an entity or a collection of personas characterized by data points. Better marketing hinged on better data. And then some more data. So. Much. Data.

Since then, the traditional business structure has disassembled across many industries. As organizations everywhere scrambled to rethink how to react and survive, roles shifted, hierarchies compressed and new perspectives emerged.

Business is being humanized.

Data is still a critical component of marketing, but data must be used to create understanding, not personas. There used to be some value in delivering messages that were sufficiently vague to appeal up the entire decision chain. Now, we’ve seen how possible it is to create a complex network of connections across the digital landscape. We have no excuse not to leverage those connections to engage with stakeholders as individuals with their own insights and experiences.

If this sounds familiar…

B2C marketing has become hyper-customized over the last few years. End users expect to be recognized, understood and catered to as individuals. This isn’t entitlement; it’s a product of digital capabilities that made instantaneous responsiveness a baseline expectation.

Savvy marketers target solving customers’ problems, quickly and efficiently. These marketers eschew traditional, stale sales tactics because customers resist them. Customers don’t want to be manipulated or “sold” to.

And neither do business stakeholders.

Business stakeholders are, after all, people. They are consumers who have leveled up expectations for responsiveness, immediacy and personalization in every area of their lives. So why do we treat them like they’ll behave any different when it comes to business?

The answer: we shouldn’t. Business stakeholders will become immune to traditional sales tactics. They’re wise to cold, data-driven pitches. They want quantifiable ROI, of course, but it needs to consider the nuances of the company and the people involved. Location-agnostic competition means everyone is “up against” everyone else and it’s not sustainable to play a numbers game where you try to barely inch past a competitor’s offer.

Successful marketers will guide prospects through an EQ-laden business process based on a deeper understanding of unique pain points, capabilities and goals. It’ll be compelling, not pushy. Approachable, not condescending. Creative, not formulaic.

We’re at an inflection point, where the challenges of the pandemic can either continue to produce reactive scrambling or inform a smarter path forward. The latter requires doing away with B2B marketing as we know it.

Hi! We’re Ivanti. We may have met before, but we’d like to reintroduce ourselves because a lot of things have changed for us. Between seriously expanded capabilities and a bold, fresh look, we’re a whole new brand.

Of course, things haven’t just changed for us; the whole world has changed. For one thing, there’s a good chance you’re reading this from somewhere other than the traditional office space where you camped out prior to spring 2020.

We don’t have a crystal ball and certainly didn’t anticipate that the workplace landscape would change quite literally overnight, but we did anticipate things changing. Before the world navigated a rapid shift to WFH, Ivanti was busy planning for WFE.

Why? Because the world isn’t only working from home.

They need to be able to work from everywhere.

Welcome to WFE. We call it the Everywhere Workplace, and we’ve worked hard to take the WTH out of it.

Ivanti’s hyperautonomous platform finds, heals and secures your entire fleet of devices, wherever they are. In this new Everywhere Workplace, location shouldn’t be a barrier to progress. Nor should connectivity issues, cybersecurity fears, technology hiccups or the fact that someone’s precocious kid keeps “borrowing” their company-issued device and trying to download sketchy apps on it.

We believe that productivity and security can coexist. In the Everywhere Workplace, they have to get along like WFE BFFs. (LOL.) That’s why we designed our platform to run leading-edge compliance technology – and make it totally seamless for the user. No awkward growing pains or extra hoops to jump through. And like a self-driving car, the platform keeps getting smarter every day.

Fresh and clean

These days, things look a little different around here. And it’s not just because the Everywhere Workplace means our incredible team now covers even more of the globe, many of them working remotely.

It’s also because we’ve revamped our entire brand to reflect our new capabilities and share how we’re showing up for our customers every day.

Not only do we look different from how we did before, we also look different from everyone else.

We’re in a space where the brand color scheme usually ranges from blue to… a different shade of blue. We’ve embraced a vibrant palate that would stand out nearly anywhere. We want you to know that we’re here, because we know we can help. And we aren’t going to be subtle about it.

The visuals are just part of what makes our new brand stand apart. Our industry isn’t only very blue, it’s also very confusing. Jargon and buzzspeak is everywhere. We think people should spend less time deciphering complicated language and more time moving forward.

Speaking of helping people move forward…

Why we’re here

“So…what would you say…you do here?”

The Bobs from Office Space.

With all the complicated language in technology, there’s one word that’s often missing: people.

From our team to yours, we know that people are the single most important asset for a company. And we’re saying that as the leaders in autonomous enterprise technology. (Translation: Stuff that helps businesses work well without them having to mess with it.)

People are at the core of everything we stand for. They’re why we are here. We help employees do what they need to do, where and when they need to do it. And we make it secure, simple, fast, and less stressful for them to do their very best work.

Here’s what that looks like:

Our new brand is as bold as it is simple. It all comes down to this:

Ivanti is at the forefront of cyber solutions.

And we’re at the heart of what helps people work better.

So get to work – down the hall, around the globe, or at your new beachfront office. (Yes, everyone can hear the waves in the background of your calls.) With Ivanti, possibility is everywhere.
