AppSense Exchange is an online community where IT professionals can access and share technical information and best practices to optimize their use of AppSense products. The response has been extremely positive, and I am pleased to share some exciting enhancements we’ve made.

The first major change is that we’ve decoupled AppSense Exchange from our myAppSense customer extranet and made it a public website (www.appsense-exchange.com) that anyone can access and contribute to.

The new AppSense Exchange includes:

  • All the popular tools and configs that the AppSense technical and customer community has contributed in the past
  • An all-new community forum where IT professionals can interact with each other and with AppSense technical experts.
  • A special AppSense Community Advisor (ACA) section highlighting independent experts who provide thought leadership and insight to the AppSense community.

Tools and Configs

The Tools and Configs area of AppSense Exchange offers a number of ways to enhance your use of AppSense products. You will find a variety of items contributed by other members that will help you extend beyond the out-of-the-box capabilities of your AppSense products.Pic2

For example, the very popular PersInfo utility will allow you to monitor and interact with Environment Manager Personalization data via a systray control on the endpoint.

All content is available to browse, with a simple registration required to download existing content.

Finding a tool to suit your needs couldn’t be easier: there is a comprehensive search engine, and downloads are categorized in recently added and most popular items.

Community Forum

New to our enhanced site is the AppSense Exchange Forum.

Pic3This is a great place to ask questions and discuss ideas with other AppSense users. There are sections dedicated to each of our DesktopNow products, as well as to DataNow and MobileNow.

The forum provides a mechanism for identifying the best answer, and all content is indexed and available to query directly from your favorite search engine.

Community Advisors

There is a page dedicated to the AppSense Community Advisors (ACA). They are independent experts who are proven leaders in the world of AppSense software. They will be on hand to help with questions in the forums and provide feedback based on their years of experience implementing and using our software.

The new site is live now and I encourage you to check it out, register an account and start contributing to the new AppSense Community today!
